Add-on inventory #
Restaurant Add-on Inventory is a stock management system that helps you track the availability of optional extras customers can add to their food orders. It ensures that add-ons are only available for purchase when they are in stock.
For example, if you sell burgers and offer extra cheese or bacon as add-ons, the Restaurant Add-on Inventory tracks how much extra cheese and bacon you have available. When the stock reaches zero, the add-on is automatically marked as Out of Stock or hidden from customers until it is restocked.
Examples of Restaurant Add-ons #
You can manage inventory for add-ons such as:
- Extra cheese
- Bacon
- Avocado
- Grilled chicken
- Extra meat
- Extra sauce
- French fries
- Onion rings
- Salad
- Rice
- Chapati
- Posho
- Fresh juice
- Soft drinks
- Water
- Desserts
- Ice cream
- Disposable cutlery
- Special packaging
How It Works #
- Create an Add-on
- Example: Extra Cheese
- Set the Price
- Example: UGX 3,000
- Enter Available Stock
- Example: 50 servings
- Assign the Add-on to Products
- Example: Burger, Pizza, Sandwich
- Stock Updates Automatically
- Every time a customer orders an item with Extra Cheese, the available stock is reduced.
- Out of Stock
- When inventory reaches 0, customers can no longer select that add-on until it is restocked.
Benefits of Restaurant Add-on Inventory #

When Should You Use It? #
Enable Restaurant Add-on Inventory for add-ons that have limited stock, such as:
- Cheese
- Bacon
- Avocado
- Drinks
- Desserts
- Side dishes
- Special ingredients
You do not need inventory tracking for unlimited or service-based add-ons, such as:
- Extra spicy
- No onions
- Well done
- Cut into slices
- Gift message
- Special cooking instructions
Example #
Product: Chicken Burger
Available Add-ons:
| Add-on | Price | Stock |
|---|---|---|
| Extra Cheese | UGX 3,000 | 25 |
| Bacon | UGX 5,000 | 10 |
| French Fries | UGX 8,000 | 30 |
| Soft Drink | UGX 4,000 | 50 |
If a customer orders a Chicken Burger with Extra Cheese, the stock for Extra Cheese automatically decreases from 25 to 24.
